I have been fishing for as long as I can remember. I grew up wade fishing the streams and rivers of West Virginia and Virginia until about 6 years ago when I purchased my first kayak. The following year I joined a local club and started fishing competitively. I am currently one of very few who fishes full time in the competitive kayak bass fishing world. I currently compete in the KBF, Hobie BOS, and BASS tournament trails. I have placed third in two KBF AOY races and qualified for the prestigious KBF "The Ten" championship a record four times. I was the first ever Hobie BOS Grand Champion and am qualified for two consecutive Hobie Worlds. Where I have the honor of representing the US in competition on the world stage.
Born in Wayne West Virginia. I currently reside with Vicki, my wife of 30 years, in Bluefield WV. When not on the water you may find me at my drawing table at Gary Bowling's House of Art. Where I am Vice President and resident artist. We are a non-profit art gallery that helps promote our Appalachian artists.
